Sweet Baby M

I sure love my fill of babies! Baby M was wide awake and SO pretty during her session. Finally she fell fast asleep and let us move her around and do what we wanted. Isn't she adorable?! I'm feeling those baby urges again. Just kidding. ;-) I can't wait to see her again, though! I hope you love these, Nicole.

Merry Christmas!

We have a winner! I had a group of 6 friends read all the entries and this story received the most votes. It was such a difficult decision as I felt everyone deserved the portrait session. Here is the letter Kristi sent to me:

I read about the contest for the photo giveaway to someone in need and I have the perfect candidate! My mom was diagnose will small cell lung cancer just over a month ago. She is currently going through her second round of chemo and will start radiation next week. We had to shave her head a week ago but she looks beautiful with her new bald head. My mom is single, is unable to work, and is waiting to be approved for Medicaid (to pay all of her medical bills/prescription costs) and Disability/SSI. My sister and I have been trying to take care of her personally and any and all costs that have arisen since her diagnoses. I would love for us to have a photo shoot with her. I think it would be something so special to cherish when she is gone! There is so much more to the story but I thought that I would keep it short and simple! I promise you that my mom is a VERY deserving candidate! Thanks for your consideration!!!!!

I can't wait to meet you and your family, Kristi!

when people read my blog and remember things about me. :-) My friend, Angela, saw my images of all my crazy Pez dispensers so she sent me a bag full of them!! She is just the sweetest!!

The outtakes

These are the images that didn't make it on our Christmas card this year. I love the one of Madison and Zoe and the one of Clay and Zoe. They just love that dog so much. Yeah, she looks like a rat, but I didn't have time to get her groomed. :-) My kids will probably be mad if they see these on here lol.

I hope you are all ready for the holidays! I nearly am...all of my stuff gets done last every year so I can get all the client work done. Don't expect my cards until after Christmas lol.

holiday session

So, I'm a little behind in posting! I've known these two for about 4 years and I can't believe how much they've grown! Aren't they just gorgeous?

Giving is Awesome update

I have had several entries in the Giving is Awesome contest and it is going to be SO hard to decide! I need a small group of people to help me decide so if you are interested, please call or email me. Seriously, every person who has entered deserves such a special gift and I can't choose alone!

You have six more days to get your entry to me! Please send your entry in by December 23 at noon. I will try my very best to post on Christmas Eve who receives the gift, but I will post on Christmas Day at the latest.

Life is precious

I just attended the funeral of beautiful Jessica Schaffer...she was a senior at Medina High School and only 18 years old. On Dec. 6 she was driving in the bad weather and lost control of her car, hitting a truck. My heart breaks for her family and for her friends. It was one of the hardest moments of my life...seeing her parents and friends heartbroken. Remember to hug your children extra tight tonight and tell tem every single day how much you love them. Remind your family and your friends you love them too. Life is short and life is precious...LIVE it and LOVE it everyday.

Giving is AWESOME!!

This idea isn't my own. Kristen Kalp came up with this amazing idea to give an awesome gift to a very deserving family.

You know someone. You know someone who's experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can't afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family's spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography -- $800 worth, to be exact. Whether it's a storyboard or prints for Grandma, or a slideshow to watch over and over, it's in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $250 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must reside in Ohio. Tell me who you know, what they're experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

* You must e-mail me the full story : lisa@lisasimages.com

The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve -- get nominating! I can't wait to read all of your entries!

Open your heart to someone this holiday season -- and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.

With love,

Lisa

Few spots open!

Happy Holidays! I just cannot believe it's December already. Where did the year go? I've had an amazing year and I hope you have too!

I still have a few spots left for your holiday portraits. I know I'm crazy for opening up a few more spots, but I want to make sure everyone gets in for their portraits.

Enjoy the season and be sure to spend lots of quality family time together. :-)

All I want for Christmas....

is my two front teeth! Miss O lost her 2 front teeth and looks so adorable! I took these before I went to FL so I'm a little behind on getting them done, but mom wanted them for Christmas so I knew there was no hurry. :-)

Christmas Angels

I have photographed these girls many, many times. I get lots of hugs and cuddles which just fills me up and renews me! Mom sits quietly, well tries to anyway, in the other room while the girls and I have FUN! There are more images of J this time because she is normally a little harder to photograph, but this time she was just ON!
